Finally had a chance to drive this thing longer than a few miles today. I guess I've been spoiled with my LT-1 wagon. This 305 tbi with 2.56 gears is a turd. I'm thinking an LS swap is in it's near future.

Gears would help too. Check for the rear size, a complete rear swap would be a lot easier than changing the gears.

I thought the 305s had 2.73 and only the LT1 cars got 2.56s?

Either way, it'll be slow, I guess.

You can find the gear ratio in the SPID. Look for GM?.
