'96 DCM Caprice - wood delete option - wagon for sale - $1500 or best offer
I have a '96 DCM Caprice -wood delete option- wagon for sale in the NOVA (Northern VA) area. Has about 130k on the clock. I have owned the car since '06 and have had no issues with it. I used to take it on trips to Canada every summer without a problem. LT-1 with electric fans (not towing package).
My understanding is this is one of about 480 '96 wagons produced with the wood delete option which makes it fairly rare plus it's in the Impala SS color, DCM.
The front end has been fairly recently rebuilt, new links and new upper control arms
New starter
Recent fuel pump-in the last 3 years
Recent water pump-in the last 3 years
Alpine head unit
Recent brakes front and rear
AIR pump delete with sticker
Recent Kumho tires
Known issues with the car:
rust in left rear quarter behind wheel opening
rust in spare tire well
some rust in lower door pillars
small rust spot on right 'D' pillar next to rear lift window
paint is good for a 21 year old car - usual suspects, some scratches, dings, chips, fading
A/C compressor needs replacing
trans functions but is probably not long for this world - I have a recently re-built one out of another wagon I have that can/will go with it.
drivers side rear quarter vent window is unglued from hinge-still in place
dash is cracked - sun damage (I have one out of an SS - no cracks - which can go with the car)
oil leak - I've never tracked down to fix - looks like it may be the rear intake seal leaking
ABS light on more than off - never looked into why ABS is not always functioning - could be a ground issue
has been sitting for several months now and has a slight engine miss which seems to clear it's self after running for awhile.
