I've been trying to track down one of these posts that works with the 2nd row seat latch. It's like a spring loaded piston on the right side of the 2nd row seat back that secures the seat in place. RMW are almost nonexistent in scrap yards but I do keep an eye out. Any other suggestions where to look for something like that? Are there any other vehicles that would have something similar? I'm guessing the 90s Caprice wagon and Olds Custom Cruiser might have a similar setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mine broke too, and I was lucky enough to find a Roadmaster wagon in a yard, and took the whole upper rear seat. I don't know for sure, but I can't imagine earlier model wagons would have that part. The earlier models of our cars (91-4, I think) have a metal hinge for the fold down part of the upper seat, and its different. I think you'll just need to keep looking. If you don't mind spending retail money, check out car-part.com, and I'm sure some junk yard will have an upper seat for sale. Transferring your upholstery is easy, and only takes a few minutes.
