| Funny yes, but personally I've never had a bunch of problems with optisparks, on 6 different LT1 cars I've owned. It's on the front of the camshaft for a very good reason, and as long as you address the few weak points, you're fine.
And of course, the easy way to tell an optispark needs attention is to pull the little vacuum hose out of the intake piping while it's running and see if it's pulling a vacuum. Or, hook a vacuum pump to that hose while it's not running and see if you can pull a bit of vacuum. If the answer to either of those is no, it's time to dig into the opti. | |

Knock-wood, in 135K miles on my '96 I've never had an issue with my Opti. It will die now because I typed this.... | |

| Funny how I left it for something better...and will most likely be putting it back on shortly. LOL! I too have always had great luck with them. Where did you get that decal? Awesome | |

Yes it is. So many on FB change it for every problem and then act surprised when it doesn't fix it. Mine has over 200k on the original Opti as well. I changed the cap/rotor and cleaned up the vent harness and it should be good to go past 300k. | |
