Hey guys, I purchased some new wood-grain vinyl from home depot. Any tips such as removing the aluminum trim or door handles? Also, My dad thinks I should just stick the stuff over the old wood but I feel it will look even worse than it already does. I also am planning on fixing the small dings before re-wooding it. I'll post some pics once I complete the job.

The guy to ask is Chris Powell, he has done it quite a few times. He could answer all of your questions. Message him "brokecello".

A PDR guy can fix the dings a lot easier than trying to fix them yourself.

Sounds like Dad doesn't get it. Nutmeg colored spray paint will hide many wrongs in the "wood".

Take that stuff back to HD, that's probably for lining drawers in the kitchen, not for a wagon out in the weather.

sadly anything Home depot would have would as the others have said mainly for drawer liners and it's doubtful that it would last very long.
otherwise awhile back I did find this but havn't gotten around to trying it out myself to see if it's worth it.

My wife redid all the wood grain on her wagon with the Stripeman kit. It is spendy but it looks fantastic!
The old original stuff peeled of surprisingly easily, she used a heat gun, plastic razor blades and then a 3M eraser wheel to get all the glue residue off.
