twin turbo for 95 caprice longroof

my mechanic has a twin turbo that he wants me to install on my wagon. it would cost about 5000 CDN. What is the best way to spend that money to improve my cars performance?

I assume this is twin as in one on each side in parallel with the engine, not two in series - Right?

$5k better be drop the car off without turbos and drive it away a few weeks later with turbos, tuned, ready to go.

It will be hard on the transmission - plan for a new one in the near future along with lots of rear tires (or really skinny rear tires to make the transmission live a bit longer ).

Depending on your mechanic's skills and attention to detail, this might be a great thing or a dumpster fire of problems.

This is the kind of mod intended for Camaros or other high-winding, light vehicles.

If you are really intent on punishing your transmission and drivetrain, nitrous always gives the best boom for the buck. You could spend half of the 5K just to get something like you propose to not overheat in normal traffic.
