I never found one when I was looking about 7 years ago, so I finally bought a good condition used factory service manual on ebay for about $40 or so. Nice to have the book rather than on the computer, at least for me, when in the garage doing stuff. It is a two volume set total 1.5" apiece. It also covers the Chevies so be sure to search for Caprice also, that is how I found mine as the ones listed in a Buick search were nearly twice as expensive then.

I bought the CD version a while back. I can print the relavant pages when needed and not worry about keeping them nice. I havent come across a hard copy for the 96.

Just a quick note, from someone who has owned and purchased all three years of service manuals - in 96, GM took the 4L60E detailed rebuild instructions out of the FSM to make room for all the additional OBD2 diagnostics. They made it available in a separate book which I've never seen nor purchased since I had the '94 & '95s, but just FYI. There's so much out there on the 4L60E nowadays it probably doesn't make a difference.

I just purchased a 96 set of the FSM on Amazon for $83. There was another on there for that price. Then they jumped to about $150. Obviously they are used but will hopefully be complete as they state. I also purchased a Haynes just to have something I can reference and beat up while in the shop n
I have several projects to take care of this Winter and hope the FSM will be helpful. I don’t have internet connection at my shop so online subscriptions are no good to me.
