1991 OCC rear upper and lower control arms

Have a 91 olds custom cruiser. Wanting to replace the rear upper and lower control arms. Looking for a good place to find some. Can't find any anywhere. Are wagon and sedan rear control arms the same. Looking for just a factory replacement. Or do I have to press new bushings into the old control arms?

The sedan and wagon control arms are the same. Left and right are the same as well. You do not have to put new bushings in, but I would not change them without replacing the bushings. It is not that hard to do. You need a spacer to go between the sides, and a chisel (for straightening the dimples) and a BFH to remove the bushings. You can borrow a press to put the new ones in from a parts store. Some lube on the bushing metal surface will help it go in. The ones on the rear can be removed by collapsing the outer metal with the chisel, and knocking them out. Installation is achieved by freezing them, putting some lube on them, and putting some heat on the rear. You should be able to slide/tap them in (quickly).

The upper arms are not available as far as I know. The lowers can be bought from Rock Auto, preloaded. The right upper may have the mount for the auto level control on it, so make sure yours has that on it, or the replacement.

Jegs has aftermarket ones both upper and lower, but I've only just looked, I haven't purchased any so can't say anything about fit, though most of the ones for upper are tubular or adjustable I have seen a couple that look like original style.

I've taken the auto leveling off already. Replaced shocks with kyb gas a just and springs with moog cc501 springs. My rear end has been changed with a 94 9c1 rear end. Was like that when I bought the car. I know the width is different so the control arms had to forced to bolt up. Should I replace complete control arms that I can find or just replace bushings

You can just replace the bushings. It will be more difficult to reinstall them because the new lower arm bushings will be less compliant. You could have the arm mounts moved to an appropriate location while you have the rear disconnected. They need to move 1 inch outward on each side.

My rear control arms are pretty bad. Holes been worn pretty bad. I'm just going to replace both upper and lowers. Just trying to find some that aren't extended or adjustable. Where's a good place to find some or a part number that will fit my wagon

Any of the B-body arms from the junk yard will fit. You can get new lower rears from Rock Auto, but the uppers are not available.

Only thing I'm finding on rock Auto is a rear lateral arm. Is that it? And if so I've never heard it called that

That part looks like a track bar. Did Olds are on to their wagons?

I looked on RA, and it appears that they no longer have the part. Your only option is to get a junk yard part. I do not know if there are any good ones in the local yards.

I found some lowers on RA for a 92 buick roadmaster. I'm going to order them today

Also found your for 77-90 Buicks and oldsmobile but don't know if they are the same

I believe they are the same. The ones for the Buick are the same. I can not beat their price.
