| So out at the in-law's seasonal camper, I noticed how silly it's been that they've been keeping the drinks cold in several dorm sized fridges by the door. Earlier this summer, I'd had a big ole yellow fridge follow me home that was taking up WAY too much room in the garage. Anyway, I swung a trade deal to swap out their small dorm fridge in exchange for my big one. Then I realized how ugly it was and that I should probably respray it for them - then I figured that as long as I was going to give them a resprayed "beer fridge" then it'd be much cooler as a BEER fridge, so I beered it up a notch. Besides that, my FIL collects Bud stuff - AND this is at the same place as where they keep the Bud cart I did for them a couple years back. So with beng mindful that I had the simple goal of having it be cooler than a mustard yellow 70's fridge, and pardoning my highly sophisticated filing system, here's how it turned out: And since I'm decidely NOT a beer drinker, I thought it may also provide some occasional amusement to the sober people by relocating the handle to the same side of the door as the hinges. And since many here may not remember or may not have ever seen the cart I mentioned - here's a quick pick of THAT to see why doing the fridge like I did kinda made sense at that location: So anyway - I know alot of us probably have garage fridges, or beer fridges, or whatever - so let's see um! Post up what ya got! Peace, John | |

| So was the lettering done as stencils, masks, freehand, sprayed, brushed?
How'd you nail it so well?.

| not to A$$ up your fridge thread, but I'm ecstatic about how my fridge turned out. Going the Euro look in the new kitchen so the ole run of the mill white Amana had to go. Problem was no funds for a new fridge......so enter the wonderful world of Rustoleum Rush job it's getting cloudy and the humidity is about 98%... Had to run to the store for another can o' Paint and swap the door hinges around. The finished product installed. dunno why it 'looks' white between the two doors (reflection maybe?) as I took the bottom door off when I re-shot it to make sure it was (and is) all black. 3 cans gloss black 1 can stainless color for the handles flipped hinges (and separated door handles). Wound up re shooting the doors as the first coat as you see was not shot at once and some over spray artifacts left a less than finished appearance on it. All this was done while my food was still in it and it was plugged in. It's not perfect but I give myself a 90% on it. Looks better in person and two people have asked when I got the new fridge !! | |

| Sprocket, My parents just did the same thing to our Frigidaire. New counters, and apparently the white fridge was no longer appealing | |

| Awe geeze sprocket - there's no WAY that's messing up the thread. Looks like it came out nice. I'm not sure Dave realized/knew/remembered that I'd already modded my toilet when I hot rodded out our bathroom, but ask and ye shall receive .... Things people have gotten a kick out of are the toolbox vanity, the drinking fountain, the 6 speed faucet, and the collection of TP holders, and that a room that small is lit via a street light. Here's a shot through the door ..... T56 Faucet? Hail yea! Then here's one of the "window treatment" and 5 toilet paper holders so that NOBODY gets stranded at our house. I took the old medicine cabinet and I etched the mirror. Here's a partial shot of the ceiling covering. And lastly, here's a video since you can't record how obnoxious it is when it flushes with a picture - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxk2qT8veEkAnybody else hot rod out their bathroom? POST PICS!! | |

I was hoping that you would follow up with your post that you actually did create afterward. I glad to see you instinctively understood the nature of the straight line I was handing you!
I still think for the joke of it we NEED a section for just plain foolishness.

Yeah it did. When I put it in place I sat in the kitchen looking at through two beers pattin myself on the backm lol. It came out really well and matches everything so well. I'm so stoked that I can see the light at the end of this f'ing remodel that started in January of 2009 when the cold water line to the kitchen sink took a dump. My goal is to have it DONE in less than 24 months, lol.
