| Ok so i am green to this forum stuff so take it easy on me. Let me start out by saying i just got my first v8 in about 12 years. last v8 car was a 70 Chevy nova with a 406 bbc. So now i am trying to build a toy, a 1995 caprice classic wagon. My grandfather passed a few years ago and this car has been floating around the fam for 4 years now. it only has 64k and it runs like a beast. the car is not a primary car so i don't care about anything but speed. and not so much high speed just 1/4mi hold on to your butts speed. I know this is not the best car for this but it was a free car. So mods i am thinking of unless someone can suggest better. 1: rear 2.93 is way low i was thinking 4.11 someone suggested 4.56 but i tried that in the nova and i didn't make it to the end of the 1/4 before i geared out 2: rims? looking around the forum i see a nice set of 17's. Cragar Black Soft 8 397 Series Wheel, i can get an almost endless supply of 60% warn cop tires that will fit the rim, will it fit under the car i have no idea 3: juice and lots of it. found a kit. http://www.designengineering.com/category/catalog/ny-trex/nitrous-systems/efi-wet-nitrous-systems seems to work nice 4: whatever brakes after i blow it up. hope that gives some insight as to what i am looking to do. so if anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks all Angelo (95ccw) |

| Welcome, we're a small group, but we're dedicated. I'll point out that there is a larger forum with a better data base for high performance questions on LT1motors at: http://www.impalassforum.com/vBulletin/ thee is a section of nitrous under a section called power adders. You might want to check out the info there. Dave Buchholz, Rochester NY | |

| Thanks Nick, I always try to do the right thing. I had trouble finding "our" nitrous section. A search for the words Nitrous, NO2 and juice got zero results. I had better luck finding the phrase "butt monkey" | |

| ^ Perhaps you would find better luck searching for N2O - nitrous oxide. |

None of those brought up any results either, wether spelled correctly or not. N2O, n20, nitreous, nitrous, didn't even bring up the words listing in this thread, so there is an issue somewhere within the search funtion. SO....thus far, it appears I am correct with the point that at this forum the data base is rather small, relative to the older, larger forum previously mentioned. If the new poster wants help, I'll stand by my recommendation. So far, mine is the only response that had any intent on helping the guy. | |
