The kiddo and I went to Cars and Coffee today. Really a good time, and some amazing cars. We got to park the Roadmaster with all the Corvettes, and it got a lot a good comments and attention.
Weather warmed into the 70's too, thank goodness. Got to wear shorts. Happy Days. ; )
I really love Cars and Coffee, there is such a wide range of cars, and you never know what's going to show up!
LOTS of pics....ENJOY!
Took the back roads to Leander. Windows down, gorgeous day!
Lots of cool cars on the road!
Got to park the Roadmaster with the Corvettes. Fun stuff!
Sharp old Cheyenne pickup
Japanese Hot Rods
And American Hot Rods
Some sharp T-Birds
Love these TR6's
The Central Texas Porsche Club was there...some wild cars!
This 911 was INSANE! Check out the engine in the back...
The BMW's were there
And a yellow Viper
The "Rotary Club" was there
Wanna see a real sleeper? How about a Miata with a 5.0 Mustang engine?
Some pretty Mercedes too
The Jags were there too
And a token Fiat...
So do you choose the Bentley or the Aston Martin??
How about a Lotus?
Or a Pantera?
How about a Packard? This thing ran so quiet...amazing car
Or a VW?
I'd still LOVE a 427 Cobra!
Very 80's Rolls
Feel like a desert or jungle adventure?
The Mustangs came out, including the green Bullitt I just love
The local military vehicle collectors were there
The Chrysler club was there in force. I loved the Viper Ram truck!
Heading home...gorgeous day!
Stopped at the Chevy/Buick dealer to see a new Z06 they'd gotten in
And got a fun picture of my wagon....I sure WISH they still sold these!!
Hope you enjoyed the pics and sure wish I had some wagon nuts closer! My car is lonely out there!

Yep that V8 Porsche was insane. Dry-sump oiling, an electric water pump mounted remotely to cool it, and a HUGE radiator under the hood up front. He was actaully able to make a flange to mount the Porsche transmission to the Chevrolet engine. Wild car.
The '90's model black Porsche Turbo with the whale tail was also an awesome car. He fired it up and revved it and it whistled like a turbine on a jet...wild car.
I loved all the classic late-60's and early 70's 911's too. Some really pretty ones there.
The 5.0 V8 powered Miata was a cool car. With the hood down you'd have no way of knowing it was anything more that a Miata with a roll bar....well until he started it....it sounded like a Mustang. ; )
The black T-Bird was SO clean. Someone put a lot of effort into that car. Did you notice it had the "slide-away" steering column? You slide it to the right to get in and out, and then back to the left once in the car. Interesting twist on the tilt column!
Oh and Between the Bentley and the Aston Martin, I'd choose the Aston....in person it was so gorgeous it hurt...and made the Bentley look taller and square. The Aston was a bargain at $187,000 compared to the Bentley at $220,000.
That orange 69 Z28 looked even better in person than in the pictures. Gorgeous car.
And I felt so sorry for that white Corvette with all the stripes, wings, goofy doors and such. Waste of a rare C5 coupe, and it was even a stick. To each his own...I guess....
The wagon got a lot of double-takes when people looked under the hood. That SO MUCH fun to watch. I spent a good 45 mins sitting across the street just enjoying the reactions it got. EVERYONE thinks the engine was swapped. Funny stuff. ; )
Great day. Love that show. The next one is the day after Christmas, and I'll be there for sure.
Such fun!

Mike that sure is an eclectic bunch of cars, something for everybody. With the exception of the pimped out white vette everything looked great. My 1st pick is the Pantera then the cobra and last but not least that pretty white wagon of yours. Someone should have shot the vette owner for what they did to that car with all the stick-ons, hang-ons and babels and trinkets. Thats a huge car show with a lot of followers on utube and jalopnik.com!!!!!!! Awesome Pics Mike Thank You Jim Gordon

Nice pics for sure and a nice variety of cars turned out. Sorta like our weekly show in Ft. Laud. Everyone shows up they park in their area, imports over here, Brit cars over there, B-bodies, muscles, mustangs, Jeeps, etc.
Thanks for sharing. I've seen a Miata with the 302 conversion here too, they are cool but not as cool as the Chebby 911!!!

If you go to the show there please post pics. I know these are somewhat off the Longroof topic but I'm a huge car nut in general and love seeing anything cool. ;
