| The wheels I'm looking at are 18x8.5 5-127 with 25mm offset. The guy at discount tire said they wouldn't work because of the centerhole (hub) diameter. According to him the ones that would were the same size, 18x8.5 5-127 with -6 offset. That seems strange to me, like the wheel would stick out to far. Anyway I know this particular wheel looks awesome on a Wagon I've seen them just can't don't know which size to order these are the only two sizes offered in this style. This is the wagon that I saw the wheels on, I hate too jack another mans idea for rims, but they match my boat great. | |

| Using on online rim/tire size comparer, I compared a SS rim (17x8.5 6 offset to give 5 inch BS) to a 18x8.5 with -6 offset (4.5 inch BS). The tires I used were a 255/45/17 vs a 255/40/18. This results in the wheel/tire being 12mm/.5 inch closer to the fender.
SS rim compared to the -25 offset, the wheel/tire is 31mm/1.2 inches closer to the fender.
I had 18x9.5 with a -4 offset, sporting a 275/40 and it fit. It was 20mm/.8 inches closer as told by the comparison.
The reason I was using the SS rim was I know it specs and it fits.
Hope this helps. | |
