I made the decision to remove my pinstripes this weekend. When I got to the rear driver quarter panel, I noticed I was having a more difficult time pulling off the stripe. Once I pulled the pinstripe, I realized that somebody had done a panel blend and had only painted to the stripe. The paint is slightly "off" where the pinstripe was--creating a noticeable line where the color changes a bit about 2 inches from the top of the panel. The more I try not to look at it, the more I see it. Aside from putting new pinstriping on, what ideas do you have for me? I am going to try to hit it with a high speed wheel and some compound tonight just to see what happens.

put a new pinstripe on that is a similar color to the car...subtle but still covers your issue.

Hey Dave thats not just subtle its damn near invisible!Wonder how it would look with a very
fine metallic black stripe down the center of each stripe.

High speed wheel and compound was a fail. Looks like new striping is in order.

Chances are the flake in the factory finish is smaller then the newer finish. And buffing you already found out will not work. Good luck with new stripe.
