I have decided to move to a smaller wagon, so the Caprice has to go.
I've had this car since February, 2010. Been using it as a daily driver and generally having fun with it.
Lots of pics here:

Engine is an LO5 of unknown year/miles. I occasionally see a small puff of smoke when started hot (valve stem seals?)
All options work, EXCEPT the ABS. I have never bothered to troubleshoot it.
Since February, 2010, here is what I have done:
- All new front brake components
- New front shocks (Monroe Sensa-Tracks)
- Replaced outer tie rod ends, one ball joint, idler arm & pitman arm
- Replaced exhaust manifold gaskets (used all Grade 8 bolts)
- Replaced leaking brake line
- Trans was tested, fresh fluid and filter changed by a professional trans shop (local, family owned place; been around for over 30 years)
- NEW tires (Pirelli P Zero Nero, 235-55R 17
- Replaced fuel pump, sending unit and fuel filter
- Replaced both front side marker lamps
- Replaced leaking heater control valve (did the whole assembly, including the heater hoses)
- A/C compressor rebuilt professionally and system checked/charged (A/C works fine)
- Removed chrome trim moldings
- Re-painted front and rear bumper covers (removed chrome cap from front bumper molding and painted it body color)
- Replaced blackout trim on door headers
- Replaced the original cloth armrest with a leather storage armrest from a Roady (dyed it to match the interior; it's not a perfect match...)
- Repaired small rust spots at the bottom of both B pillars
The car was undercoated (Ziebart) when new and does not look like a veteran of over 20 Michigan winters. I put it up on a lift and scraped off the flaky undercoating and loose rust, coated everything I could get at with "Defender" rust converter (like POR15) and you can see the result in one of the photos. There is rust under there, but I haven't found any structural damage or soft spots. Floor pans are solid.
It could use an alignment (it was aligned last spring, but it's pulling a little to the right now). It's got a small exhaust leak that new exhaust manifold gaskets did not eliminate and the aforementioned valve stem seals. It also has a small hole behind the left rear tire and the bottom of the spare tire well is banged up.
It's probably stupid to sell it now that all this stuff is new/repaired, but I can't get around it when it's in my garage and I really want to get something smaller.
I could be interested in a trade, especially a 60-65 Tempest wagon or a 78 to 83 Lemans or Bonneville G wagon. (I'm kind of a Pontiac nut...)
I have driven this car across Michigan several times; I trust it to get me anywhere I need to go.
It has an aftermarket (Pioneer) AM/FM/CD head unit with mp3/aux input.
It has no tailpipe; I installed a turndown/dump at the outlet of the muffler.
The muffler is new, it is stainless steel "Driver Controlled Exhaust" (DCE) muffler from Waldron's Exhaust. There is a switch at the dash that allows you to run in quiet or open mode. Right now, it's a little loud all the time because I had them make it with oversize internal tubes, so it's never really quiet...NEW 2 1/2" exhaust pipe from cat to muffler.
I'll be listing it locally for about $4000 and I'm listening to offers.
Send me a PM if interested or with questions.
Thanks in advance for your interest!
Here are some of the pictures you'll find on flickr:
