New "Old" guy...

Hello. My name is Pat Maphis. almost 59, live in Abingdon, MD (about 20 miles east of Baltimore) Have been into automobiles all of my life. My Dad was the service manager of a Nash dealership in the early 50's and I grew up riding a creeper. He and I drove (well, HE drove) from Maryland to the Indy 500 in 1959. I've owned a '65 Chevy II SS factory 327/300 4 speed, a 1970 Datsun 510 sedan, a '66 Chevy Biscayne, '55 Chevy 1st series pickup, chopped '55 Studebaker Commander coupe, '72 Gremlin, '72 Monte Carlo, 1990 Mazda Xtra cab pickup (1st new car), 2001 PT Cruiser and now, "IZZY" our '63 Impala wagon and my Mom's old '99 Lumina (the first car I've ever owned that has no "character!" Nice car, but...)

I'm married to my best friend Erin for 28 years. No kids (can't afford them) Have skateboarded for YEARS, raced BMX in the early 80's, done a fire walk and several sweatlodges with several different Native Americans. Build model cars, raced slot cars, collect art and skateboards, don't smoke and love long walks on the beach.....

I love to tell stories so don't ask and I won't tell. Thanks for the TONS of info on Longroofs.
