That ride looked like big fun, but c'mon Ian all you give us is that it has a 6 speed, and some return air grills from the neighbors house stuck to the hood? I want details of that thing, looks and sound interesting.

Cool videos and happy to see that he is wearing a helmet.Wondered about all the louvers until I saw the huge driving lights behind the grill. With lights that large blocking airflow he needs the louvers to help cool the engine. Thanks Jim G

The lights behind the grill are a neat mod. Looks mean in a "Mad Max" kinda way.

Thats a great picture of the wagon laid over in that corner.Really like how the exhaust exits out in front of the rear tires.Would love to hear a drive by and going up thru the gears. With the widened wheels and big tires, its a badass looking wagon for sure. JG

I was there with my 9C1. Tom is the nicest, most laid back guy, and he drove that RMW to within an inch of its life. That car is no BS. Like Nick said, Golen 396 LT4, 6-speed. NASCAR-style exhausts. Minimalist interior with stock gauges, a stick poking through the floor and two race seats, and that's it. Two big foglights like Nick's old goldy wagon used to have.

Seeing him driving that car brings back memories. I am happy it's still on the road.
The lights as he will tell you are for driving at night. He's rebuilt the front end more than once due to deer strikes.
I have had a ride in this car with the "Street Tires". It's impressive to say the least. He used this car to haul his kids around at the time so the passengers seat was out for "Weight Reduction" and he only had the rear bench with a small Mazda seat for the driver.
My father and him were both in the Merchant Marines together on the same ship. They both retired at the same time. So I have known him for several years. Even before the Buick when he had a Taurus SHO...
Tom is the one who suggested looking into a Buick Roadmaster Wagon when he heard I needed to haul my model airplanes but didn't want a minivan. He was right on the mark.
Thanks Tom!
Oh and Nick. If you kept up with him. I am impressed. He is one of the best drivers I have ever been in a car with and this car is very fast.

Tom told me he had them widened by 2.5 inches and has 295s stuffed up in there. I only got to see the car parked and it looks pretty stock until you get up close.
Tom also said that the hood vents help alot with letting the heat out, but since his AC is broken all that hot air gets sucked into the cabin so it was a toasty ride to Nats.

Tom showed up briefly for WF07 with temp 2.56 gears - I think he drove from St. Louis in 3rd gear. Wicked look of those wheels from behind. Look up WF07 pics if they didn't get dumped with the ISS failure of 2 years ago...
