| I've been told you'll feel it, but you wont' REALLY feel it until you upgrade the rear end to something like 3.73's. | |

| It's not a huge SOTP increase. However, with new upgraded valvesprings you will definitely notice a huge improvement in the upper RPM. | |

| the LT4 springs are way too weak. Go with beehives (26915), patriot gold, or crane.

| As you install 1.6 rr on your iron heads be sure to check that you push rods clear, mine did not. Therefore I have 1.5 rr installed until I can switch heads. | |

| yes and I did not notice when I first installed. It was ticking a bit so I removed the valve covers and saw the wear on the pushrods. Then when I watched the re-install I saw the pushrods bend as I tightened the rr. Pulled them all off and went to a 1.5.
I have used Comp Cams Pro Magnums and Ultra Pro Mags but I have a set of the GM I am going to try if I ever get to do my heads!!

what he said!! pushrods don't bend enough that it can be seen with the naked eye,. and if they do,.they don't have a memory so they stay bent,. Nick

| Sorry I just noticed these responses.
I put a set of CM618 springs I bought used from RJI on the other forum. They were drop on springs so I did not measure height. It was a totally stock motor. When I first installed the 1.6rr I did not even look, but noticed they were noisier than usual. I removed the passenger side cover and began to play, I saw that as I tightened them the push rod bent to go into place in the rocker. There was some wear on the hardened push rods as well.
