I have gotten some sad news this evening, my uncle had surgery on monday afternoon, things turned bad for him. I'm taking my parents to Ottawa so my mom can be by her brother's side for what I hope is a recovery and not his final days. I'm expecting to be there for a few days. My cousin tells me there is a large cruise night/car show in Ottawa on wednesday evenings. I may attend if things settle down. It would be nice to touch base with some of you while I'm up there.
Unfortunately I have to put some of my other plans on hold for now.

Pat:
Wish the trip were in better circumstances. Feel free to call and come out (only about 15 min south of Ottawa). Should be around most of the week and weekend. Jay and I are playing around with some computer stuff if your interested.
Anyways, call me (613 692 3070). Need some place to stay? Just ask.

Pat:
Found out about the cruise night you were talking about. Happens tonight just down the road from here. Maybe we can hook up with Jay and visit the Casino (where the cruise is).

the doctors at the Ottawa Civic hospitals changed my plans, they transfered my uncle back to the Hotel Dieu hospital in Cornwall (Where I was hatched) so I followed him here where I am now. I spent part of the evening in upstate NY chatting with Jarrod at his place, there are a few interesting B body shadows in the dark there.
I know I'm here till friday, unless there are changes in my uncle's recovery.
Thursday night is the local A&W cruise night here in Cornwall, Jarrod said that he and his dad would attend with their wagons, so Bill and Jay if you feel up to bringing your wagons down to Cornwall were we could have a mini Wagonfest, and we could call out to all the members in western Quebec and this area too, it happens from 6 to dusk at the A&W at 1715 Vincent Massey drive in Cornwall Ontario.

Well my uncle is doing better they had him up and walking pulling his IV pole behind him today, his spirits are up, no news on the biopsy of the two lumps they cut out of him. He is on the road to recovery so my mom wanted to come home today so we drove home. Thursday night was nice, Jarrod his dad and thier buddy crossed the St Lawrence river and joined me with thier two nice wagons and we then crashed the Cornwall Ontario A&W cruise night. then Bill convert to deisel ( I know there is a reason I don't eat wistle dogs) arrived with his wife Carole and we had dinner together ...then my cousin arrived with his boxy 6 door 1980 fleetwood, bill fell in love. a good time was had by all, thanks guys for comming out and taking my mind off the family things for a few hours.
and for now it's back to work on monday and this week end's car project is to fix the exhaust on one of my toys
last week end I put on the vinyl roof all by my self! with no help...

It was great to see you again and I finally got the opportunity to see your mods for real. Certainly glad to hear your uncle is up and about.
By the way, you can call what I ate whatever you want, but them was no Whistle Dogs. Guess you can't go back afterall. Grew up when A&W was a true drive in, complete with window trays, and a real person coming out to your car to deliver the food. Never was much of a fan of hamburgers but loved Whistle Dogs, Onion Rings and Root Beer. The stuff I got last night wasn't even close.
Glad you made it back safe and sound. Carol and I really enjoyed the get together and meeting Jarrod and his father and your cousin.

Pat, what no video of the vinyl roof install? That would have been a good topic.
