wax for glass? Empty
PostSubject: wax for glass?   wax for glass? Icon_minitimeFri Sep 11, 2009 5:13 pm

So guys, it's well-known that you can buff (smooth) and wax (fill) paint, making it look nice. But what about glass? I have a number of small scratches in various pieces of my cars' glass and I'd love to be able to put something on to smooth it and fill the scratches if I can.

Any experience?

Joel, it'd just be easier if you called me wax for glass? Icon_biggrin

Try using a good polish with a buffer and Orange or yellow pad to clean the glass. Then use a 0000 steel wool. Careful as the 0000 MAY scratch the glass wax for glass? Icon_redface . Metal polish (Jewelers rouge) works also.

To *fix* a customers glass, I have used a glaze to fill the scratches, but that is only good for a couple of days at best.

Wax the glass when finished........ Yes, I polish and wax EVERYTHING that is not soft wax for glass? Icon_razz

Way back in the 1960's when I worked service station, yes a real service station. Any purchase $2.00 and over got a full island check; oil, radiator, wws, auto trans fluid, wash the windows and air pressure. We used a product call Glass Wax to clean the windows in the station. Exhaust and asbestos dust is hard to get off.
