| Meeting instructions for the Saturday Morning Cruise in:The green star is the LaQuinta. The red star is where we will meet at 8:00 AM on Saturday March 31 to cruise into the track together. We will wait until 8:15 and then proceed along the blue line to the speedway. You actually have to follow that road around the back of the track to gate 70. You have to drive past and make a u-turn. This way is WAAAAY faster than cruising down Speedway Blvd and will insure that we arrive at the same time (no lights along the way). I chose this lot as it's the same one GOFASST has been using for the past 4 years or so, so we may pick up some other B-bodys that morning. Their hotel is just next to this parking lot too (Holiday Inn). photo of meeting location BBQ Saturday night is ON!!!! During the show Saturday (or even Friday night) we will formulate the plan, collect $$ and one of use can head out at the end of to procure the food for grilling.I'll adress the show first then talk about other stuff Saturday of the Show:Meet across from the hotel in the same parking lot as last year (details to follow) around 8AM and cruise out at 8:15AM. We may or may not pick up some Impala faithful, that will remain to be seen as I haven't spoken to many of them yet, but will try to touch base with any that are going. Does anyone have EZ up tents? (10'x10' vareity) If we can get three or four of them all next to each other that'd be great as good shade and some room to move around under there. I'm working on a buddy to lend me his. The only shade will be under your car or in the bathroom, so shade is good. 1. It's Florida and the sun is brutal, bring water and sun block. 2. I always pack a cooler with drinks and food and have a picnic. 3. Chairs are nice to sit on, I'll be bringing a few (need one to hide the dent on the quarter ) 4. Comfortable walking shoes, the show is HUGE and you reall can't see it all in one day. Back at the La Quinta:The hotel told Sting we can BBQ in the parking lot if we want. I haven't worked out the details of how to, but plan on dragging my gas grille up there and keep it in my hotel room, lol. I figure those that are interested, we can meet up back at the hotel after the show (it closes at 5). and cook up some dinner. I have a side burner on it too, so we can cook stuff in pots too. As for the BBQ, as the time draws near we can decide either bring your own to grill or plan something out collect money and go get it (supermarkets are nearby) Friday My plan is to arrive in the area around 11 or 12. Go check in and get my car placard and zip into the show for a bit to check out some vendors. Willing to meet up with anyone who will be around. Friday night, hang out in the parking lot, help folks put the finishing touches, etc. There are a couple of the do it yourself car washes as well as the drive thru type around to get that road grime off. Dunno if you'd be able to find a hose at the hotel, but doubt it. Last year I brought a bucket and just did a spot wash to get the bugs off as I washed and waxed pre trip. Sunday:Normally the show is pretty slow on Sundays but with the lap this year it may have a bigger draw. If you stick around you as a entrant can take a lap around the track. I have NO idea how they will work this and probably won't stick around that long. I usually head in there if there was a vendor I wanted to go back to, etc.

| I'd be down with it. If everyone chipped in $10 or so we could do some killer food and drink.
Or we can go to the wing place right there and get some killer wings. Mmmmm.... Either works for me. |

| We may not be able to drive on the track due to Oneproblem Montoya running into the service truck and burning up the track.... | |

| They finished the race on it. It should be fine. We are not going to run 200 mph.
As far as grilling, I am open to it. We could grill one night, and go to the Winghouse the other. I do not partake of alcohol, so sweet tea is good.

| IF they don't put us all together I will give out my cell number at the hotel that morning to whoever is there. We'll scout around for an open spot that can accommodate us all, and just move in.
Regardless, we will still get to BS as wagon guys, we'll just have to get... creative. We can do it.

| if we all drive in together, there should be no reason we can't all park pretty darn close if not next to each other. that is the key here. For those that were there last year, even if we get a car or two in between, you can wave them past while traversing the infield.
Granted in the spring shows of yore, the infield was never as crowded as turkey run, but I think if we are on it as planned, (8:15 roll out of the parking lot), we should be pretty good.
I'm not worried. | |

| There is a LKQ or LQK (something like that) yard that is less than 5 miles from the track. Don't know what might be there however. | |

| It is an LKQ. I would be willing to go. No telling what they might have, they do not share their inventory. Bring tools, and I will bring mine. We could send one person to scout the yard ($2.00 entrance fee). If there is something of interest, then we all go in. | |

| There were 2 91 or 92 Caprices 9C1's and a 94 Caprice about two weeks ago. Sedans, no wagons. One was a Seminole County Sheriff Department driving class car. It had a roll cage, big plate bumper and tube up the sides to the rear doors. A PIT maneuver car I would think.

You have a room with a1awind. I am coming by the Orlando Airport between 9:00 and 10:00 on Friday. What time are you going to be there, and where will you be. I have a divider (console) in my front seat, so you don't get to spoon with me on the way to Daytona.

| It's a bit out of my way (about 35 miles each way), but we could make it work if you need a pickup. My timeframe is about an hour later than Fred's but if you need later, we could make that happen too, but I DO want to go into the show on Friday. My advice take the 6AMer outta Beantown or wherever you fly out of and be here by 9ish and then Fred can sweep you up as it's on his way. | |
