| The 12k car is for real. It's a white woodie with red interior. They sent me lots of pics and it's unbeliveable !! Only problem is they raised the price to $15. It was previously listed for $12,000. I was getting ready to sell of some cars to get it but now I'm going to wait and see what happens. It's the real McCoy no doubt about it. | |

| Pics are in the link at the start of this thread now. White over red '96. Limited seats. Very pretty car, but at $15K the dealer is just being an idiot...... | |

| Yea, especially after telling you on Friday that it's $12,000 and then telling you on Monday that it's $15,000. He claimed that at $12,000 they were only going to make $1,000 profit. What a laugh!!! The owner said we need to make more money on the car because we paid way too much for it. Does anyone out there believe this bull? They probably gave the owner 3 or 4 grand for the trade-in. Not the way to win customers. | |

Agreed. I almost bought a 1998 Bonneville SEEi from this same dealer in 2002. It was maroon over tan leather. Supercharged, sunroof, loaded, 47K miles. I found the car online, called the dealer, my wife and I drove down to San Antonio (60+ miles) and when we got there we were told the car could not be test driven because it had been sent to be detailed and was blocked in. They let us look at it. It seemed well kept in and out, and at the time I really wanted to replace my white '95 Bonny SLE with an SSEi. We sat down and did the deal, I gave them the deposit, and we drove back to Austin. The next night after work we drove back to San Antonio to get our new car. It was still dirty....(?). The dealer wanted us to sign the final papers, but I told him I wanted to drive the car first. I got in and started the car, and the Check Engine light was on. I got out, and the car had daytime running lights, and one was burned out. Nice prepwork guys. I decided to drive it anyway, and the Heads-Up display didn't work. I got back to the dealer and pointed out what I'd found. He said the headlight would be replaced right away, the Check Engine light was just a glitch from washing under the hood, and that I didn't know how the HUD worked. Ok, I asked him to show me how the HUD worked. He jumped in the car and began fittling with the HUD controls, which is just a dimmer and a tilt mechanism. It was dead as a doornail. I got my deposit back, headed home to Austin, and bought a 1998 Suburban from the local Chevy dealer. Done. -Mike | |
