Door rattle

My drivers front door rattles when I close it, doesn't sound like the interior panel making the sound but something metal inside the door. The only time I hear it is when I close the door, so I am thankful that it isn't making noise while driving.....it's just annoying.
Anyone have a similar experience?? I want to get as much info as possible before I pull the interior panel and risk breakage.

If you make sure the removal tool is under the fasteners, you will not break the door panel. There is no telling what is rattling in the door without opening it, and checking for wear spots, or just shutting it, and watching/listening.

The first place I would look is the screw in the rear of the pocket, that holds the door interior on. Is it loose? Next the actuating rods for the latch, etc. There may be some debris in the bottom of the door as well.

I had all four panels off my OCC last weekend. They come off pretty easy if you take your time. You need to get in there and see what's loose, like Fred said. No telling until you get in the door, but again, it's not hard.

I do recccomend going to Autozone and buying new Christmas-tree clips before putting the panel back on. You don't wany new rattles.
