Saying bye-bye to the rear air shocks. The car still had the stock factory air shocks, and I blew one out with a load of kids and tables in the car for our Thanksgiving dinner party. I hit a big pothole and the car began to ride like Uncle Buck's Mercury in the back. Left shock was totally covered in oil, and right one was leaking too.
Went to Rock Auto and have Moog variable-rate CC623 coil springs and KYB KG5504 Gas-A-Just shocks on order. I loved the CC623's on my Roadmaster. This is the same setup I did on that Roady...got totally away from air. Can't wait to install them!
Will have to wait until later to order the new front KYB's. Next paycheck!
For you folks that are interested, her are the numbers from Rock Auto. These are the same for TBI or LT1 cars, Olds, Buick and Chevy. Great update to your wagon!
