MotorWeek's Pat Goss explains how complete part assemblies (Raybestos part examples shown) can make installation easier for do-it-yourselfers with fewer tools to buy. Look for the RockAuto catalog in the background!

Don’t forget to check the RockAuto catalog for the parts needed for your next do-it-yourself repair!

I've used quick struts before and they are definitely a timesaver, with two caveats:
1. Avoid 'Auto Part International' quick struts. The springs sagged within a year and the strut damping is mediocre.
2. Check the alignment adjustment system BEFORE you mount. Some of them do not have ovals where they should have and required the tech to remove them and hog out the holes with his grinder so he could adjust the camber.
