No road trip is complete without some beaver nuggets, camo popcorn and sour cherry balls from Buc-ee's!

I love the ingredient list on the nuggets! There's more sugar, butter and corn syrup than popcorn. Razz

I believe it's only in Texas. Not sure. Kind of a HUGE modern Stuckey's.

The new Buc-ee's in New Braunfels is HUGE....it has 60 gas pumps, a full resteraunt, a bakery, a meat market with great BBQ, and there Slurpee machine on EVERY endcap in the gigantic food store area, and bathrooms nicer than most 4-star hotels (individual stalls with polished granite trim). They also sell booze, deer corn, fishing gear, and even rifles and ammo!

Pedro had to be pretty quick to cross the boarder so my money is on him. I'd much rather visit this Buc-ee's over the south of the board. That place is so sad looking and is where mediocre memories are born. This place has got clean toilets and a wall of gummies.

Agree with you about SotB,cheap trinkets and worthless junk food.Use to have very clean showers for drivers when I was still driving big trucks and fuel was cheap too.

There's always Wall Drug in Wall SD.
If you drive either east or west on I 90 you start seeing the signs in Minnesota. If you are west bound and the signs start in Montana.
The Yacht a few years ago parked out front.

I'd thought Stuckey's was nationwide, at least in the 50's-60's-70's. Stuckey's was nowhere near the size of Buc-ee's, but they used to be EVERYWHERE when I went on road trips as a kid. They were famous for their pecan rolls and fresh honey. Most stores had an actual beehive inside behind glass and as kids we loved seeing that. They also had tons of tourist stuff and toys from whatever state you were in. Not PC in the modern era, but I remember I got a wooden "peace-pipe" with colored feathers on it at a Stuckey's in Oklahoma as a kid.

By the 80's the truck stops and food stores started killing Stuckey's, but there are still some left out there. Memories of my youth!!

I passed by there when I moved to BC. I took a similar pic with the Black & Tan.
