Prayers please

I (along with those of us whom are friends with him on Facebook) found out this morning that ray's(stingroo) father has passed away overnight. He had been fighting cancer like a boss. But he was called home.. I have really gotten to know ray over the last two years and had the pleasure of meeting his dad on my wagonfest fail trip last year. He was a good guy and to hear roo talk, he was a great dad. So I ask for prayers for Him and his family...

My sincere condolences to Ray. Losing your dad when you're young is tough. I know that he will have great memories to cherish for the rest of his life. In these upcoming days, fall back on the strength of friends and family, they're there for you.

Really sorry to hear Ray. I lost my Dad when I was 18, not an easy thing to deal with but just hang in there.

Sorry for your loss Ray - prayed for you and your family tonight.

I spoke to Roo this evening and he and his Mom (FL WFesters got to meet both last year) are doing as well as one could expect. While not best friends, I got to know Ray Sr. a bit over the last two years. A great guy with a true love of cars, specifically GM G and B bodies. I spoke to him in the last 10 days and we had a good discussion about stuffing a Olds 455 into Grimace (I had seen on of CL, and Ray was giving me Sh1t about not calling him right away,as he was interested. I let him know I'd call him right away next time I saw one pop up for sale....

So sorry Ray... Cara and I will keep you and your family in our prayers...

It's... really weird and sad. The house feels so empty.

Keep your Chin Up....Just know that he's watching you from above. The house may feel empty, but he will always be with you in heart,and mind.

that comes and goes. when my dad died my hardest thing was when i did something that my dad did...or my wife would catch me making a comment or face that my dad made. ....thats when you think. "I miss my dad". its ok to let it out. ( i have a hard time with that i still want to cry 3 years later.) the strangest things will trigger you for a month or two. this all fades and a general acceptance replaces it. ....keep faith ray...you will get to hang with your dad again...for a lot longer than you did here.

don't let anyone tell you "men dont cry" ...thats bullshit! your body was designed to cry as an emotional response and that is the only way to heal. If you mom is crying...or..yes even Kandayce...hug them and cry with them...its ok.

I'm very sad to hear that. My condolences to Ray and his family. I'm glad I got to meet him last year. We had a good long talk about all things cars, and I really enjoyed his humorous stories of some of the things he did back in the day.

From what I've seen on fb and on here Ray... you've got a strong group of friends that love and care for you and it's going to be ok to lean on them. Praying for you and your family buddy...

Sorry to hear about your loss - my condolence. My mom passed when I was 12, it gets easier, but the pain never goes away.
