Why this was necessary? I spilled oil on the carpet, and it ate a hole in it
Soooooo, the first thing you need to do is remove the carpet "flaps" to expose the hinge.
Once the hinge is exposed, drill out the old rivets with a 3/8" bit.
replace the old lock with yours by messing with the 4 worthless nuts....
I used these to replace the rivets... (I remember when you went into a parts store and things were in ENGLISH
)
"pop" in the new rivets
And finally:
DONE!!
