Yesterday was the annual meet for the local chapter of the CLC (Cadillac LaSalle Club) at Covert Cadillac. It was a great day & nice show.
There is an interesting story on this 61 limo. A man wanted to purchase a car for some nuns. They reluctantly agreed but insisted that it be bare bones with no radio or air conditioning. When the 61 Caddy limo showed up of course even without a radio or a/c it was way too flashy. The nuns tried to return it to the dealer but they said they could not sell it because it didn't have a/c. So most of its life it was rarely used. Later in its life it was used in movies.
