AC control panel - o/s Empty
PostSubject: AC control panel - o/s   AC control panel - o/s Icon_minitimeFri Jun 21, 2013 5:56 pm

Yesterday I had the shop replace the (stuck) engine thermostat. I picked up the car to-day.  Drove it about 3 miles and noticed the AC was "fluttering" ON/OFF. I switched off the ignition, then switched it on again. The AC came on but "died" again very quickly. I did this a couple more times. No luck. There are now no lights on the control panel and none of the switches work. I took the wagon back to the shop; the (new) mechanic "swears" he never touched the AC. I can hear the AC power "clicking" on and off in the engine bay. The silver-colored unit (?) at left (looking into engine bay) is freezing-cold but I'm getting no fan, no air, no gauges working.
Anybody had this problem? Thanks.

Your AC is working. What is not working is your HVAC control panel.

Thanks for speedy reply.
Are parts available?
What can I expect to pay to have it fixed / replaced ?
