| Found a set of inexpensive 17" take offs. Just wondering if anyone is running 17s and if there are any issues and what tire sizes you're running? | |

| Many of us use 17s. Stock 94-96 Impala SS wheels are very popular. Some tire sizes that are used: 235 55 17, 225 60 17, 255 50 17, 255 55 17.
What are your "take offs" off of?

| They came off a jeep. Let me do some high tech redneck tricks and I'll post a picture. | |

| If the pattern is 5X5 they will fit the bolts. I can never remember on backspacing but I'm sure someone will chime in. Also, moving to Wheels and Tires section. | |

| They're going to rub. 5x127 jeeps have a pretty high offset, so you'll need spacers to run them. |

| I am running a set of Imp wheels on the White Elephant. I have 235/65/17s They are a little larger than stock, but my speedo was running fast, and these make the speedo almost perfect. I have a 2.73 with a white driven gear on the VSS. The tires look massive on the car. No clearance problems | |

| Jeep wheels need adapters as Sting mentioned to offset their offset | |

| Thanks for all the constructive input! I decided to pass on those wheels. Everything happens for a reason though. Shortly after I saw those I had a couple of unexpected expenses that cost me most of the money I had set aside for wheels and tires. Back to saving! Nothing wrong with what is on it for now.
Thanks again for all the constructive replies!

| Oh and of course today I get an e-mail from a craigslist ad I had asked about a week ago. He had them listed with some tires but only one center cap for $350 and he said make an offer!! Aint that the way it happens all the time!? Good deals come when you're the most broke! | |
