its crysler hemi orange and grabber green.. hahah mopar colors on a chevy.. i really wanted a brighter orange but when i painted the heads i had to stick with it to keep the color theme goin..

Not bad at all, good job so far.

Gonna be ruined once the bare spots start to rust after awhile, make sure you touch them up.

new cam sticking with the stock one, anything else may screw things up with the computor etc iirc, going to detail the eng compartment while u got it out
btw i thought there isnt a spot for the old type fuel pump on the tbi motor, what yr is the block just wondering may be wrong

92 block.. i got the fuel pump in my gas tank.. and im deffinatly detailing the compartment..

Today was the day guys!.. put that bad boy in there.. im gonna try and jack my friends camra to take pics.. i had cancelled my dentist appointment today to put this motor in!.. exciting day today.. got all the bellhousing bolts on the block/toruqe converter bolts to the flywheel.. got my plugs and sensors and throttle body gaskets and all the other gaskets.. so three weeks is the goal line.. wish me luck!

alright guys.. tonight is the spark plugs/thermostat/tightin up the motor mount bolts.. just gotta wait for my starter which im most likly gettin' tomorrow.. and get all my fluids and this bad boy should be running by the end of the week!!!! cheers

Thats the crux.. I can get a 1996 RMS LT1 with 119k for $350 or rebuild the TBI for around the same (friend has access to a machine shop)

either way it sounds like a win win situation.. i think you'll be happy with either decision.. but i would think if u want speed go woth the LT1.. if your lookin' more for a good cruser.. go with the TBI.. just my prefrence..

Well. My wagon is all original. It really is more of a cruiser/road trip car. But I love the LT1 power. I have to see what a new ecu and wiring will run too. The tbi would probably be cheaper to rebuild.

Looks great. But the OCD/ clean car freak in me says it would look 100x better and cooler with a nice and clean engine bay. Thats my plan when I do my teardown. Going to completely clean out the engine bay and recoat the frame.
