| I have a 3 link going to a 4 link posi. Can i just pull a link out of another wagon or sedan and use it? If so does it specifically have to be the 4th link or could i get another 3rd link and use that?
To clear this up, I was laying under a 65 impala for days then went to ask a question about my wagon while still thinking about the 65 rear end.

| I'm going to guess your car is a mid to late 60s? If yes, the forum you want is www.impalas.netTo add the fourth link, you need to weld the mounts on both your frame and your rear end housing. | |

To add the fourth link, you need to weld the mounts on both your frame and your rear end housing. Im sorry i should have been more specific, this is for my 93 caprice wagon, i bought the rear end out of a junked 92 rmw and it has a posi and better gearing, however i forgot to grab the 4th link along with it at the junk yard. My current set up is a 3rd link, and the new rear end housing already has the mounting point for the 4th link. | |

| You know what, i spent too much time under 2 different cars. I just assumed since it was an open rear end that it was a 3 link like the older cars. Im wrong on that.. thanks for trying to help the helpless ha. | |

| Do not forget to change the VSS gearing, or get an electronic pulse modifier. Your speedometer will be off a good bit. What ratios are you working with? I am guessing that the donor is a 3.23. | |
