| Here is my 92 Caprice wagon. This is my second and was originally picked up as a parts car. Bought it from a woman in Fort Wayne that towed it (180 miles) to me for $400. Body has the typ rear quarter rust and the interior was 4 different colors. It has about 240,000 miles. It's on it's 3rd engine and 2nd trans that both came out of my first wagon, a 93 Caprice Classic. The whole interior has been replaced using the 93 also. The only thing left on that is the headliner. I'm still trying to figure out how to work around the sunroof. Don't have many shots of her, but I'll add few as I go. Thanks in advance for your help. I've been a lurker but decided to join to figure out a few more things and if able help others. Merry Christmas. | |

| It.s good to see high mile wagons being used and daily driven,. i think i like them more than garage queens with airbrushed underbellies,.

| Thanks for the Welcome all. I do use them, This is my Suburban/Pickup, but with better mpg. Most of the time she's filled with tools and materials, 1/3 of the time it's hauling a utility or enclosed trailer for work. On the warm weekends it hauls my boats or camper. It's a V92 that didn't have a hitch and a 3.23 non posi rear end. Added the C-3 hitch, add on trans cooler, new radiator. Has air shocks and Air Lift 1000's to keep my a$$ from dragging. Drives the wife crazy, but I'm looking at #3. A clean 93 Classic with a ticking motor. We are at $700 but hoping for a little lower. | |

| This was wagon #1, a 93 Caprice Classic that was picked up for $2100 with 120k. Had it for 4 years and put about 80K on it. Had one deer run in to the RF corner and do a little damage. The Ins paid $1,900. I found a P&P headlight and used a formed 2x4 to pound out the dent in the fender. A second deer committed suicide on the same headlight about a year later. He, a nice 8 point, also took the fender and both doors. The Ins. paid out $3,100 and totaled it. She still drove great, just looked banged up. I picked up #2 intending to fix #1. About a month after picking up #2 a micro burst dropped a tree on #1 and smashed the snot out of her. Roof, windshield, radiator, grill, bumper and a lot more all trashed. At first I picked up a used motor for #2 to make it a good runner. Then I started on replacing the interior using #1. After 6 months the trans in #2 gave it up after towing the boat on vacation. Pulled the motor and trans from#1 and dropped them in. These wagons are the best all around vehicle I've ever owned. From running two tracks hunting or fishing to hauling tools, materials & trailers or loading the kids and wife to float down the highway on vacation. There is nothing better IMO. ! | |
