----1994 Caprice trim piece needed----

----Hi,,,Im thinking of selling my 94 Caprice wagon. Id like it to be as complete as possible and need the extruded aluminum piece of trim at the very bottom of the drivers side rear door. The door took a minor bump and that piece was damaged. Doors fixed, except for this piece of chrome. HELP!!!! 810-420-0431.......Bill S

It is not extruded, it is a formed sheet of aluminum or steel that has been plated or painted. I may be able to get one tomorrow, if it is undamaged on the junk yard car. It is the same piece for all Caprice wagons 91-96.

----Thanks so much Fred,,,Im looking forward to hearing from you. You are, of course, correct on the extruded part. When I posted I couldnt think of a better word. Glad you saw thru that! I found out the hard way that wagons and sedans are not the same, but I wasnt sure all years of the wagons were the same, Thanks.

The rain has delayed my foray to the yard today. I will probably go tomorrow. I have extra clips. They have a round base and long pin to engage the nylon bushings in the doors. The front and rear clips have studs on them for sheet metal castle nuts.

Well, they pulled the car last week, and crushed it. Sorry. Maybe someone else can get the part from a car they are parting out.
