Greetings fellow Longroof addicts. I just acquired my first Longroof in September, a 1996 RMW. DGGM, WB4, tan interior, non tow pack. I have a 92 LeSabre Custom that I used to tow my boat with, but the brake lines gave out, probably a combination of sitting undriven for long periods and low quality brake lines. Haven't gotten around to tackling that, nobody seems to want to mess with it. Anyway, a buddy of mine has been a wagon nut for years, is building a 57 Chevy wagon with a 454. He had bought the 96 RMW and then found a minty 94 Caprice wagon, DGGM WB4 with ~58k on it, so I picked up the RMW from him just as a knockaround car to tow my boat and haul musical equipment in. Then I got hooked. . .  cheers  The car has ~142k on it and runs strong, but has some typical issues: leak and rust in the DS rear quarter, some rust in the DS D pillar, and rust at the bottom of the DS door frame beneath the A pillar. I can see where the rear quarter is leaking, and drilled some drain holes in the bottom until I can fix it. But I haven't been able to find where the leak is under the A pillar, unless it's coming from the windshield somewhere. The seats have a couple of minor rips, and it needs a headliner. But I really dig the car, and like the DGGM/WB4. I'm going to keep chipping away at the defects, and get it into WF worthy shape! I enjoy searching through all the posts, there is certainly a wealth of knowledge here.

Welcome to the forum. You're certainly using your wagon as God intended.  Razz

Regarding your headliner, I redid mine myself a couple years ago using products from here: http://www.yourautotrim.com/auheclvifa.html

It's like astroturfing a football field but not that hard. OE quality materials, great color selection and very reasonable pricing.

Greg:
Thanks for the link, that is a great site. I had found this link before:
http://www.wlsheadliners.com/car-headliner-kits.html
but I think the other site might have more to offer. I also have to get going on taking care of the leak/rust issues. Think some of the leaking in the rear quarter is coming from the roof racks. Will be good to get the headliner out and check it out. Maybe just sealing the well nuts.
