So the wheels on my SS got stolen today! IN MY GARAGE!

So you CAN fit an 18x9.5 wheel with 275/40's on a wagon with no modifications! But I could barely get my pinky between the sidewall and fenderlip (and just a finger between the sidewall and framerail) in the back! CLOSE!

I know, a couple days early, but I couldn't wait!

Wow. Looks very good. Glad to see we can fit some big rubber on these beasts.

The fender wall side can be hammered back from it's current "L" shaped edge to more of a "U" shape to get some clearance room.

Yeah, I know. I'm actually having the fender lip and trim lip cut down on both sides in the rear. I'll need it for the set of rims and tires that are supposed to be going on it.

That looks sweet! The Torque Thrust style, old and new are my favorite. So what happened to

the SS wheels? You don't seem to broken up by it. Did I miss something?

Thanks. They are Coys C5's. I like them because they look like the TT2's but have a smooth lip.

(and FYI, these are the wheels that were on my SS up til this afternoon )

I was rockin the winter steelies til today on the wagon.

Are the SS wheels staying on the SS?

The SS is going to be strutting around on my old 15" Rallyes for a while. I missed those 295's!!!!

On a side note, got the SS running again today.

Dunno about those exhaust tips....or it could be the bumper. rollpan! Lol

WHAT?!?!?! Those Z28 tips RAWK! I love 'em! I think it's just a bad angle on the pic. They don't stick out at all and are actually flush with the bumper.

And rollpan? Boo. I don't like those at all. I prefer to have the bumper. Roll pans just look funny. Like short bus kinda funny.

I thought those tips were dodge ,..

Thanks. I have not noticed any rub at full lock. Believe it or not, there's PLENTY of room up front for the 9.5's. It's in the rear where it's tight cuz of the skirts. It seems that due to the short sidewalls, that 1/4" clearance I have to the fender lip out back is all I need. I guess those 40's don't "roll" much. And I've pushed it a bit on a couple on/off ramps too, to test.

Oh, and MAN! Did it ride waaaaaaay nicer on those snow tires!

It was either 5 or 5.5". I forget.

So were you planning on putting the Rallyes on the wagon, or somethin else? I'd say stick with the Coy's...they look too good!

and as referenced by Bewbiez, your, uh...aiisse...looks pretty high. IIRC, you kept the load leveler, didn't you? That must be making it ride higher than other vogtland sprung wags I recall seeing (from a rather foggy memory anyhow)...I didn't get my rears in yet, but now especially with the 18's, it looks high to me...

I was gonna do the Rallyes on it. Still might. Not sure yet...

And yes, I still have the air ride out back. I'll be ditching it when I get the disc rear in there though. I will definately be cutting 1/2 a coil off the fronts, too. Probably off the SS also.

Oh, and the SS has been broken since last may. I've finally got it back together and put some miles on it this weekend!
