Coolant hose replacement questions

We are taking our first big road trip in the Roady in a few weeks and I want to do a little cooling system maintenance first.

The plan is to flush the cooling system and replace z few or all of the hoses as well as the plastic T.

Do here are my queations:

Is the restrictor as fragile as the T and should be replaced at the same time?

Does somebody sell the hose with the restrictor already attached? Is there a part number? I couldn't find one.

I plan on replacing at a minimum the two radiator hoses and the T. If I have time ivwill sldo do the hoses going to the T. Are the heater hoses relatively easy as well? I would love to do all of them at once and be done.

I hope to also bypass the throttle body at the same time.

In my experience replacing old rubber bits is always a wise investment. Especially when your driving through the middle of nowhere between Portland and Salt Lake City in 100 degree heat with the whole family.

AC Delco 155508 - buy from RockAuto or Amazon.

I would not bother bypassing the throttle body unless it is actually leaking.

I have a list of hoses I will post once I assemble everything. I think I found all of them at reasonable prices.

I found the restrictor at Advance Auto, part number 74795- Factory Air by 4 Seasons. I think it was about $10

Driving MacWoody's car (and he had no tools), I was 500km from home, in Maine, at 4:30pm on a Sunday, and the restrictor split in half as I accelerated on to a county road. Quite the steam show. Got pulled over to the side, and hitched a ride to the hardware store. Had to talk them into staying open for five minutes as I bought a knife, screwdriver, a brass barbed hose fitting, and a couple of hose clamps. Hitched another ride back to the car (where two unimpressed wives had been left waiting), fixed it, then limped to a local dealership where we found a water tap around back that we used to fill the rad.

Bottom line? Change it now, or, keep the stuff in the car to fix it.

I figured out that I was only saving about $10 to buy the hoses, T and restrictor separately. My time is worth more than $10 an hour so I just bought the assembly (AC Delco 155508) off Amazon for $59.
