My wife Paula and I are back at our Pittsburgh house for the summer. The Roady performed perfectly, as always, on our 1,153 mile trip. We averaged 20.87 MPG over the whole trip. The mileage has been remarkably consistent over the years, varying by less than .5 MPG over the last 4 years. It is an amazing car. This may be the last trip we take with it, as my wife wants to get something a little smaller. I'd like to keep it, but since it is her car, I obviously want her to drive in something that she feels comfortable in. She has grown weary of the old car game, and like lots of other car guys I know, we can fuss with and enjoy old cars, but our wives (most times) want something newer for themselves. Fair enough.

Alrighty then! Put her (car, not the wife) in the for sale section of the forum and it will go to a good home. A 1996 RMW that has spent it's winters in Florida should be a fine catch.

It's never seen snow. I bought it from Fred (wagon guy Fred in North Carolina) 5 or so years ago. Not a speck of rust. It's always been in North Carolina, Florida, and only in Pittsburgh in the summer. When I decide to sell I'm sure it will find a good home quickly.

Hah!  You bought your car from Ruphrax, father of Wagonfest! He has corrupted many.

Had dinner with Fred and Kelly last week. Carol and I were in the area on holiday. Fred is still at it and still loves his wagons, though his daily is a mid 90s VW diesel. At least he's using the right fuel cheers
