Subject: BIG car show in San Antonio this afternoon Sun 24 Oct 2010 - 22:10
As I posted in the last topic, I found out about a HUGE charity car show while Salvage Yarding today down in San Antonio. It was sponsered by the San Antonio Mustang Club, so lots of Fords, but it was open to all makes. It was in the parking lot of the HUGE Bass Pro Shops store right near Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
I got there for the last two hours of the show, so some people had left already, but still a TON of cars. Despite being dusty from salvage yarding my Roadmaster Wagon got lots of thumbs-ups too. Ha! Great Car Day!
I know this is kind of off topic but also know there are lots of car-nuts on here like me. Had to post the pics, this is CAR NUT OVERLOAD. Was an AWESOME show, great weather in the 80's, neat location and TONS of awesome cars. I've still on a "car high". Some addictions you just can't give up!
Enjoy All!

I dig that lowered satin black charger! And not one, but TWO SVO stangs? Cool. And was that 78ish T-bird with the t-tops factory???
And how does this guy see? Can't make right turns, can barely see straight ahead!!!

Yep that poor "Barbie" Vette was hideous.
Did you see the black late 70's Z28 that someone had turned into a WILD custom? Crazy stuff.
I always liked the SVO Mustangs....but I live weird cars.
That black hot-rod was insane. It was so low I don't know how he got in it.
Oh and the T-top T-bird was really nice. Those were dealer-installed Hurst-Hatch Tops. Had been on the car since it was new. Neat write-up on it. The CB radio and 8-track were nice touches. ; )
And yes that satin Charger was cool....so was the blue 69 Charger in the later pics. I'm a big fan of the "Bullitt-Body" Chargers.
Did you see the Bandit 78 Trans Am with the 4spd?? GORGEOUS. Man it was nice.
The blue Supercharged Iroc-Z was also nearly perfect.
I was also digging on the 2010 Daytona 500 Mustang Pace Car.
REALLY a neat show. ; )

The guy with the light green Saleen Mustang convertible works in my building. He got 3rd place. Wacky color!
Wish there had been some Impala SS or GTO's.....but it was sponsored by the Ford club, so I guess all the GM F-bodies were a bonus. ; )
