Had a customer cancel on me so I decided to "catch up" on the Buick.

Before:

Customer canceled. Killing time Test007

Polishing: (that's my son working on his car.... there is hope for him after all)

Customer canceled. Killing time Test002

Customer canceled. Killing time Test001

Wax:

Customer canceled. Killing time Test004

Replacing the brake pads...... might as well polish the wheels while I'm at it

Customer canceled. Killing time Test008

After all is done (minus the mudflaps and glass)

Customer canceled. Killing time Test012

Customer canceled. Killing time Test013

Customer canceled. Killing time Test014

Customer canceled. Killing time Test015

Customer canceled. Killing time Test016

That's my "swirl detector" works great for finding those pesky scratches so I can remove them with the polish. Direct light on the sides.

Try it. You'll be surprised at what you find.

Careful there buddy, I just might challenge you to hide the scratches on the Roady. Wink

Actually, I have a couple spots I might get you to take a look at when you 'stop by' this summer. I think they're too deep for polishing but you would know better I'm sure. scratch study

Mike, if you run your fingernail over/through the scratch, and it gets caught, you need to repaint (or paint pen it). If it does not catch, it'll buff out.

You're a sick man Lorne! Wink

Robert, I have some rather nasty swirl marks on the roof that I think are polish material. Perhaps I could impose for your assistance? I think the rest are beyond help without a paint job though. Sad

Lorne, he's about 240 now affraid

Mike, when I started this is what it looked like at WF07:

Customer canceled. Killing time Swirledhood

After I bought the Porter cable 7424 and some QUALITY products, this is what I had at WF08:

Customer canceled. Killing time Polishedhood

and you see what I have now.

Remind me and I'll bring my "stuff" to WF 09. Maybe I can get to your place early enough.

So my hood that is satin white and resembles a dry lakebed is beyond help?
