FWIW, those who have persistant leaks in the front passenger side footwell, I found a possible leak, that I have not seen discussed before. The screw on the left by the firewall (pain to remove, used 7mm box end) screws into a post on the inside of the duct. It (mine) does (did) not have a gasket between the pan and post, and is a possible place for a leak. I took the entire gasket out, put a bead of silicone around the entire pan, and a small circle around the screw hole before reinstalling the pan. I have had a dry footwell since then.

When I had it apart, the divider at the drain tube was bent against the front wall of the pan. I used a screwdriver and carefully applied heat to reshape it to a vertical position. Reshaping it can help drain anything from the left side of the pan which could overflow and leak.
