Can I strip the paint on the trim and polish the stainless? It looks and feels like plastic????

Yeah you can. It's been done before - looks awesome. Smile I think Tim (BigBlackBeaSSt) polished his trim?

I think I'm going to ad that to my to-do list!!... Twisted Evil What kind of tools will I require to carefully remove the trim without bending it? I was thinking about just yanking off the one pictured above to see what kind of clips they use and then go from there.

Go to Harbor Freight and get one of their fiberglass trim removal kits and then use a putty blade
for support to gently pry off the trim.There is a sticky somewhere showing how to use the flat
blade to protect your paint!

He did. There is a writeup somewhere about it. Tim would know where. It's not difficult, the trim actually comes off pretty easy. It's just time consuming to strip and polish it. It's worth it in the end, though.

Tim was good enough to PM the link to the thread. Man does that polished trim look good! Wonder why GM didn't do that in the first place instead of painting it?!
