255/60 on 7" wide wheels

Am I going to have an issue? Anybody ever run this combo? White letter tires are getting harder and harder to find, and it's making me sad.

The other option is 225/70, but the 255/60s claim to have a higher load rating (1,885 vs 1,753). Which would you run? The 255/60s are about $15 more per tire, so... yeah.

Thoughts, gents?

I had 15"x7" wheels with 255 70 15s on my '88 Olds CC, they looked good, but were a bit wiggly back there. I'd run that combo again though.

Ray,stop worrying about the load rating!How often do you run around with your wagon that
heavily loaded anyhow?Go with a 235/70/15 and then no sidewall or clearance issues.

Tires I want don't come in a 235/70, because Firestone sucks and discontinued the Indy 500s. Makes me sad.

Those rims with 255/60/15 are going to be very tight on the RR position and I am sure it will only
go on deflated!

I'm running 255's and have had no issues in the 4 or 5 years I have had them.

I even ran 275 60 15 Radial TA's on my 92 RMW when BFG quit making the Comp TA's in 255 60 15 all on stock Roadie wheels. I don't remeber if they are 7" or 7.5" but I an sure if the 275's fit fine you should alright with the 255's on a 7". I guess it would depend on offset.

Offset is -2mm.

Mostly looked "meatier", and looked a little bit like a rolled side wall, but they looked good imo.
