This job may not be done, but it's done enough to go to Daytona. The original paint job was crap to say the least, I took it in to get polished and they blew right through the clear coat! My friend who arranged this paint job took care of it and got his cousin to re-shoot the hood and front fenders, the worst looking part. If the rest of the car comes out as good as that looks now I'll be thrilled Very Happy . He doesn't have time to do the rest of the car before my trip, so I'll have to bring it back to get the rest done. If I had known his Cousin could do this work I would have had him do it in the first place, he did a real nice job and it only took him a few hours start to finish.
So for now the trim goes back on and it look a hell of a lot better than it did, but the biggest part of the car looks great so I'm happy. Here's come shots before I trimmed it up. Yes, I stopped living a lie and found a non-collector's hood ornament Very Happy

And I got rid of the tired sagging belt line trim in favor of some fresh trim. This is the stuff Fred used back when he refurbished wagons. It is easy to work with and looks a hell of a lot better than the old stuff.

Thanks guys! I got the whole car done originally. Roof still needs to be redone. Compared to the hood, the roof looks like its weathered for 20 years. The first time it was painted the clear was put on thin and uneven.
