Windshield wiper nut covers

Does anyone know how to safely remove the plastic nut covers on the wiper arms without breaking them? Mine are missing and when I find them on cars at the wrecking yard, they are so tight that I end up breaking them getting them off.

there was i guy on ebay selling them before brand new. i bought new one i did the same as you at the jy broke alot of them. i seem to get them off with a little flat head screw driver and prey on the side of the cover and use finger top lift up. it was a 50/50 deal if they come off or break. here is link to the ebay ones

Thanks for the link! Had not seen them on ebay before. $5 a piece is hefty for what they are but at least shipping is free.
