Whoa I see an oil cap on a valve cover and not up front. Looks like you found one of the very few NON Olds-307-powered models. With a Chevy 305 in it that will be a FANTASTIC car!
Nice score!!

Nice. Those are quite the rarity. Will it be joining Wagonfest this year or are you bringing the caprice? Was this the one that was on ebay a while back?

I love a vaccum fuel economy gauge too. Haha! Had one in my '79 Bonneville.
Now go find some Rally II Wheels for that car!

Those look really nice wow my favorite things about the car are the steering wheel and the hood ornament but I love everything about it! Will definitely look into rally wheels. the vacuum fuel gauge is so cool the car is a head turner now I might change my mind about which one I bring to wagonfest not sure yet though.

I wish I had the room for it Dan, it's a sweet looking wagon. For anyone interested in it, I've seen it at local shows and it is as nice as he says. Clean inside and out.

Why does this car have Hydroboost? Was it originally a diesel or was it converted?

Just saw that you're selling Dan, sorry to hear. It'll look good in orange.
GM put hydroboost in a lot of the mid '80s box wagons. My dad had that set up in his '86 Buick, and '86 Pontiac, both gas motors.

Car is now in ontario,..
Motor blew up after 100 miles from where i picked it up 2 weeks behind schedule,.
Tightening down the rockers, adding new oil,. and painting the valve covers red,. did not "fix" anything,.just prolonged the inevitable,.
The blowby is incredible, internal pressure on the engine was forcing oil out of every pore,.
The low oil pressure and "ticking" were problems associated with running a 305 engine with a bad camshaft,. the oil contaminated with fine cast iron particles basically extrude hones all the bearings,.
Unfortunantly i wasn't informed that the engine was finished,. just that it was stalling sometimes,.
definitely wasn't in any shape to make any sort of a trip,.
from the wood grain down,. the body has been worked on and then covered with a thick coat of chipguard,. which doesn't show in any of the pictures,.
It'll make a good derby car,......
communication is not strong suit for some folks.
it is what it is,.

That's a shame for both you and the car, especially since its one of the more rarer wagons of the 80s decade.
I guess...let us know if you plan on stripping parts before it goes the derby car route.

yes i did,. and with all the stress it caused me and my family,, its festering inside me,..
and i don't handle things like this very well,.
especially when i find out it was offered for for its true value of $400 on another forum.,.and the extra time it took to get a title, forcing me to make another trip to get it,.
I,m annoyed everytime i look at it.

Been there, done that,Nick. I found the more I saw my mistake,it only amplified the bad ideas in my head. Do yourself a favor get rid of it and move on. I know its easier said than done, but trust me.Those bad ideas start sounding pretty good after awhile....Just my humble opinion.

Felt the same way about a 91 OCC I bought, was total crap from day one. I ended up unloading it dirt cheap just to get it out of my sight which I regret now considering all the good parts I could have got out of that thing.

Can u believe in June I spent 3000 on it, definitely going to think twice and bring a mechanic with Me next time I buy a wagon for all of the stress it definitely wasn't even close to worth it. I'm sorry that you didn't get what expected Nick I'm no expert unfortunately being relatively new with these cars I wasn't sure 100% what was wrong said that too just hope that you and your family were able to do what you felt was best and hope there is no hard feelings. it could always be worse you could of paid 3k and put 1k into it like I did. Lesson learned the really hard way for me, something my family and I certainl u can't afford ever ever again.

give up that hope. I could care less
Do what we thought was best?
in retrospect i would have lost less money to have had a wrecker come by and pick it up,.
I,ve been planning on making a gruesome video of the destruction of the car.
Any good idea's people?

Burn the wagon burner. Or blow it up. Tannerite maybe?
Fast forward the video to 2:09 for the action. Hillbillys, guns, and explosives = interesting videos.

Here's a crazy idea... how about giving the buyer his money back? Since it caused you so much aggravation, I'm sure the buyer would welcome the gesture. It wouldn't make up for his time or expenses, but it would go a long way for your peace of mind.

I'd like to grab it but towing a dead car from Canada is not in the cards right now. Maybe in the spring when the C10 has it's new engine and is road worthy again, I might just tackle a long distance trip with it.
