| here in australia holdens are the common gm car, these were assembled at the plant in australia alongside the 59 chevy, they are monocoque, very light and seats six people easy, some parts like interior door handles and speedo are also found on other gm cars from the period, i havent seen many holdens on here so i thought i would put a post of my driveway built (well still building) holden. here back in the day even though the holden was only a small six it was the car that most speed equiptment was mad for, other gm cars like chevs and pontiacs were more like rich parents cars, everyone hotted up holdens, we had a range of high performance heads and manifolds, common setups were twin or triple SU or twin strombergs, mine has a later model engine from a 63 model, this six cylinder was very basic but very popular in racing here, mine has been built to take a supercharger wich still isnt fitted, my headlight doors are from a 58 edsel but the backs are from 58 corvette and cut and shut to fit. | |

| Nice! Hey, I saw you over at the HAMB... Thanks for stopping over! Doin a hell of a job on that Holden. I read your post's about the buildup... Dedication to say the least.
You should post that up over here too so some of the other guys can see what you've done and had to put up with.

| no pics of the interior till the interior is finished, i have recently fitted a eaton M90 supercharger off a V6 holden commodore to the inline 6 with a big SU carb hanging of it and also fitted a new headliner. | |
