| does anyone make molded mud flaps for the 91-96 wagons? I live on a dirt road and would like to protect my rocker panels. | |

| There WERE factory Buick ones (had them on my wagon), but I have not seen any in years. | |

I work for a plastic thermoforming company and would consider making a mold for a set. it would be a huge project that I don't have the time for. a set of factory ones would be very helpful to make a mold.

yeah I read your sig line, I will have to look for some close up photos of them to see what they are like. looking at how much the quarter panel curves back towards the front I am not sure how to make them look right. the ones I put on my GMC truck would be semi easy to replicate.

| If there were made out of fiberglass rather than an injected flexible rubber, they could be glassed over and painted for permanent installation. I'm also looking for a form of front fender flare, suitible for the same purposes. | |

making a plaster cast of an original and using fiberglass is by far the easiest way to do it. we don't do injection molding we do thermo forming which is heating a sheet of plastic and sucking it down to a mold. for a small production piece we do a would mold. I am a decent woodworker and can make molds but it is time consuming and I don't have a lot of time for it. I plan on keeping this car though and want what I want. if there are NOS parts out there and are not insanely priced I would just prefer that. a part # would help the search.

| Fairly certain all the mud flaps on these are/were dealer installed. Probably not going to be able to find a part number, unfortunately. |

I put this on my wifes hood of her 2011 Hyundia Sonata when it was brand new and now its starting to show that it yellows over time. Its GREAT product and protects the paint like crazy, but I'm disappointed that it does yellow slowly over time. Her car is Silver, so the clear part appears yellow. Body shop installed it and its saved a million stone chips, so all in all I'm still happy with it! Just be aware of the yellowing issue. Her car sits in full sun all day at work tho, so its likely caused by the sun while shes at work, BUT I'm just glad shes at work funding my wagon! lol

I am more of a fan of body shutz myself though.

| I have some "Oldsmobile" flaps on my wagon, likely dealer or owner installed as the hardware holding them on is not GM. | |
