Will this wiring set up work on a 1996 Buick Roadmaster wagon?

Thanks,

Russ

Reading the vehicles that it will fit, it specifically says Roadmaster 4 door sedan; there is no mention of wagon. Going by that, I would have to say it does not fit.

I bought mine at NAPA off of the shelf for about $20.

That one mentions only sedans but here they mention wagons:

So I'm a bit confused. What part do you buy at NAPA?

Thanks,

Russ

I ordered the wiring from Draw-tite for the wagon and received a telephone call from them to tell me that it only works with the sedan, not the wagon. They canceled my order, refunded my account, and told me what to order that would work.

What great service!

I just bought one of those kits Shawn linked to, it's literally a 5 minute job to wire up, well worth the money.

Of course if you want to wire a 6 or 7 wire plug it gets more complicated, but not by much. eTrailer will set you up.

Good luck!

I have the kit and will install it soon. The instructions include pulling up the rubber and running the wire beneath it. I've never done that before is it tricky?

Thank you all for your help.

Easy peasy, no tools required. It just lifts up.

Update,
The 3 round are for the fuel sender. I got into the left tail light and all the connectors have 6 pins.
My plug & play has 8.

How many pins does your plug & play kit have?

I just ordered this.

118352 T-one Wiring Harness

The easy to tell sign you have the correct harness for a wagon is that there are 2 sets of square(ish) connectors, where the sedan harness is litterally a Tee connector that fits in the left rear 1/4 panel between the body harness and the taillight harness.
For the wagon, you need to pull both rear trim panels and install the harness.
