Meh. Only problem I ever had with the optispark was one terminal got corroded.
It's a traditional style distributor with a cap and rotor, plus an optical wheel and sensor. Install a new cap and rotor, loctite the two little screws on the rotor, make sure your optical sensor and wheel are in good shape, keep the opti harness clean and vent harness operational and it's fine.
Somebody on the ISSF even found a new replacement bearing and seal years ago, and now that the archives are still up, perhaps that information is able to be found. It's worth searching for, because if you can replace that center bearing, add a cap and rotor and you have a brand new optispark for cheap.
